This year’s MoG Accra weekend took place in a different setting to all previous ones. At the end of last year, MoG Guayaquil invited all other MoG members to stay in the large vicarage in Hopfmannsfeld on the same weekend as them. The board quickly agreed that this was a great idea and that we would be happy to join them. That’s why I (Nicolaj) had the great task of organising the weekend together with Shawna and Till in advance. It was a lot of fun and I’m glad to have got to know them and other MoG Guayaquil members better.
The weekend was great and it worked really well, even though the two organisations had very different needs. We were able to hold a productive annual general meeting and at the same time get to know the Coordinatión of Clave de Sur, who was visiting Germany. In addition to a thematic exchange with everyone on Saturday evening, we realised that Ghanaian and Ecuadorian cuisine are not automatically different. On the second evening, however, it was much, much spicier – sorry about that 😳🙈
